L&T was given undue benefits worth Rs 80 lakh in the land allotment in Vadodara. The land was allotted in 2005 & 2006 for the establishment of a technology park. Also, revenue worth Rs 129 crore was forgone by the Gujarat government by giving a 30% ‘special’ concession in the price of land to L&T in 2008 & 2010.

Anar Patel, daughter of Gujarat’s ex-Chief Minister Anandiben Patel, bought 422 acres of land from the state government at nominal rates. The land was given away at a rate of Rs 15 per square metre, when the stamp duty rate of the land was Rs 180 per square metre, thereby availing Anar Patel a discount of 91.6%.

BJP’s Former CM Ramesh Pokhriyal was involved in a land scam worth Rs 400 crore. He allotted land worth Rs 400 crore to a real estate developer who was close to the BJP for a mere 13 crore. This was allegedly done after changing the land use of a 15- acre industrial plot. The land-use change fee was also reportedly waived off.

Union Minister for Law and Justice DV Sadananda Gowda allegedly sanctioned 10 acres land in January 2012 when he was the Chief Minister of Karnataka. The market value of the land was about Rs 3 crore per acre whereas the government valued it at about Rs 60 lakh per acre. In 2017, the revenue department cancelled this allotment for violating the condition that the proposed institute should come up within two years of its allotment.

Dilip Malvankar, a field manager attached to Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), was arrested by the ACB while accepting a bribe. He asked for the bribe in return for getting a plot allotted for someone in Tuem Industrial Estate. He is the brother-in-law of Goa's former Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar.

LED bulbs were supplied to the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) at an unreasonably high price. The contractor sold to PHED a 15-watt bulb at Rs 15,000 a piece, a 9-watt bulb at Rs 972, and a 12-watt bulb at Rs 12,000. The officials at the Malviya Nagar unit of Central Store cleared the contractor’s bill worth Rs 2 crore without verification, the ACB said.

Wife of Chhattisgarh Minister and BJP leader Brijmohan Agrawal, Sarita Agrawal acquired 4.12 hectares of government-owned forest land in order to build a resort. Apart from this, 13.9 hectares of land was encroached upon for the same project. Notices were sent to the company pointing out the encroachment. The company’s response to this was that they were only retaining their own land. Records also show that the company offered another tract of land in return to this ‘encroached’ land.
